For the First Time

For the first time, I did well for my Philo Orals! (Shet, ang yabang.) Well, it was the first. I still have the Final Oral Exams for Philo. Haha. Thankfully, I did not get the third question, which I believe is the hardest one. I preferred the question on alienation but the first question is okay. I talked about how the blind can see without using his or her eyes. Because I was too nervous during the orals, I was not able to say the correct words. I told sir that "kahit SIRA ang mga mata ng bulag" and "Si Stevie Wonder, sir. Kahit hindi niya nakita ang anak niya, nasabi pa rin niya sa kanta niya na Isn't She Lovely. Malay ba niyang BINGOT yun!" Haha! Sir was just laughing. Wala lang. The experience was fun! :)

For the first time, I saw the Libingan ng mga Bayani and the Headquarters of The Philippine Army. Wala lang.

For the first time, I was able to do something for our business. Lol. My dad told me to get the car he bought at BMW Prestige Cars in Makati. I talked to the guy and I signed some papers and... Voila! I got Jose Mari Chan's 1997 BMW 7 series (Okay, I forgot the exact model). Do not say your Ooohs and WOWs yet. It is just second hand. Lol. Wala lang. At least I got to see Jose Mari Chan's son, who bought a new BMW 525.i (not sure, though). He had a problem starting the engine. For those who do not know, the new BMWs have s Start/Stop button to turn on/off their engine. Cool, right? Haha.

For the first time, I was able to see the beauty of the all new BMW X6! This definitely is a lot lot lot lot better than the X5. And the price is also far far far far from the X5. A brand new X5 now costs about 6 million. The X6 xDrive50i costs 8.35m! Okay, so the price difference is not really that big. Lol. But my personal favorite is the Red M5 Touring which costs 10.55M! Talk about millions. Haha.

For the first time, I appreciated the BMW Autohaus and Prestige Cars. Together with my father, I had been to different BMW stores already and I really never cared about the cars. I guess being alone made me realize that BMW really is the ideal luxury car! While I was waiting for Mr. Rowen, the dealer of the car, I have managed to watch some of the commericals for the BMW cars. They mainly entice the viewers that BMWs complete your luxury experience. They mainly flaunt the BMWs together with the beach houses, perfect couples, and smooth roads. Oh yes, the carefree life. Now, my goal after college is to earn at least 1 Million Pesos a month. Lol.

Now, I want to watch For the First Time. Lol. Sana this weekend!

Random Thoughts

We won! Thank you F1 and hello 3k! :)

Out of desperation, I watched the Dark Knight alone at the SM Megamall. I did not like the movie. I mean, it was not as good as what I expected. I almost slept at the movie house. Lol.

My dad's eldest brother died and he was buried last Saturday.

I was at Cafe de Lipa yesterday, studying for my Philo Orals on Friday. I reread all the texts but I still cannot answer the thesis statements. I will be at Cafe de Lipa again later to study. Again.

Kapeng Barako is too strong. I finished my Macro assignment by 1 am and got to bed by 2 but I was not able to sleep immediately.

I cut Stat twice. I did not attend Stat last Thursday to do my Theo paper and I did not attend Stat today too because I still do not want to go to Katipunan. Too lazy.

I added more wishes in my wishlist. I realized that there are a lot of things I cannot do. Yes, I am semi-abnormal.

Last 5 weeks until Sem Break!

I write sins not tragedies

First stop. The Valentines in August (VIA) project really stressed me. 3 days of selling flowers definitely was hard! Shouting "Buy flowers and get a chance to meet and greet Chris Tiu, Mikee Lee and Robi Domingo of PBB" every 10-minute class breaks, balancing the receipts and the actual order and inviting blockmates to help with the booth really drained me! Nevertheless, it was really fun selling flowers and requiring your friends to buy from the booth! . We were not actually thinking of the competition since we were really enjoying making flower arrangements or maybe telling Anj to arrange the ordered flowers. Moreover, we gained new friends such as Jaime, who had his flowers delivered to the twin of the girl she likes (oh yes! haha.) and Mita Veloso, who got a lot of flower delivery from us (she is a beautiful one, infairness). Haha. Thank you F1! I love you all!

Hello Mr. Tiu! Sorry for interrupting you in your Chinese Class! Good job with you orals!
Hey Robi and Mikee!
Wacky Shot daw.
Hello Mr. Lee!
See, close na kami ni Mikee!
I love my block!

Second. We were supposed to go to the Panic at the Disco's album signing at The Podium last Wednesday. Sadly, we did not push through because Eia's dad had Dengue and was confined. I was actually asking for a PExer to give me his tickets for the Panic concert last Thursday but he asked me to buy them from him. When I went home last Thursday at around 10pm, I checked my PEx account and he sent me a PM telling that he will just give the tickets for free and I just have to pick them up. I wanted to cry when I saw the PM. Haha. Anyway, I just watched all the Panic at the Disco Live in Manila videos in Youtube. Still bitter for not going to the concert. :(

Third. Badminton days are so back! I love badminton! Haha.

Fourth. Aira and I went to Robinsons Lipa to see A Very Special Love! Sundance!! Haha. You should go watch it! It really is a feel good movie. The movie house is full considering that the movie has been running for three weeks now! Good job! Kim Chiu, antagal mong dumating!! Haha.

Fifth. I have not watched The Dark Knight, Wall E and My Sassy Girl yet. I wish I can at least see The Dark Knight this week!

Sixth. I still have to study for my Theo first long test, do my third reflection paper for Theo and read the next reading for Mr. Rochester always gives a "surprise" whenever we have a new reading. Lol.

Seventh. I put a wishlist at my sidebar so you guys will not have a hard time thinking of a gift for me. I became specific too so you can just click a wish so that you will be directed to the website of the things I want. Thank you in advance! :)

Eighth. The Tagaytay trip did not push through. Sigh.

Summit Entertainment Moves Up Release Date for TWILIGHT to November 21, 2008

Last update: 7:09 p.m. EDT Aug. 15, 2008

LOS ANGELES, Aug 15, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- TWILIGHT, the first film in Summit Entertainment's thriller romance franchise, has moved up its North American release date to Friday, November 21, 2008. The film, which was previously planned to be released on December 12, 2008, is taking advantage of an opening in the upcoming fall release calendar. The new release date for TWILIGHT allows the studio to both bring the film to the written-series' enormous fan base sooner, and to present the film in more theatres prior to the holiday movie-going season where traditionally screen time for any popular film is limited.

"When Warner Bros. decided to move HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE to the summer of 2009, we saw a unique opportunity to slot in our film which has been gaining tremendous awareness and momentum over the past several months," said Rob Friedman, Co-Chairman and CEO of Summit Entertainment. "We by no means are trying to fill the shoes of the incredible POTTER franchise for 2008, rather we are just looking to bring the fans of Stephenie Meyer's incredible book series the film as soon possible from a programming perspective."

Starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the thriller-romance based on Stephenie Meyer's publishing phenomenon, the film is directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA), Greg Mooradian and Wyck Godfrey will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.

TWILIGHT tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together ... even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. Their unorthodox romance puts her in physical danger when Edward's nemesis comes to town and sets his sights on Bella.

Someone should ask Ayala Malls or SM Cinemas about the release date of Twilight. I hope November 21, 2008 is a worldwide release.

P.S. I Love You

Audrey Joy Lat Austria. Thank you for lending me your copy of Breaking Dawn. As I said in my previous post, the hardbound version of Breaking Dawn is not yet available in NBS Katipunan. I'm sorry Auders for not having lunch with you a while ago! High School Musical 1 with lyrics was aired on Disney Channel so I had to watch a little! Haha.

I went with Eia for the JEeP Day of Integration thing and it was boring, in general. I just read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn and I was smiling while reading because Bella's car is just too good to be true! Haha. Sorry for spoiling.

After buying some groceries in Rustans, I went home to watch the Ateneo-FEU game. Ateneo won! Very nice game, indeed. I watched P.S. I Love You after the game because to my disappointment, my copy of My Sassy Girl Korean Version does not have subtitles and Windstruck does not have sound. Lol. While watching P.S., I was really literally crying the whole time. Oh yes, I am too emotional. But really, this is one of the most touching and most unique movies ever. Oh well. I have to finish the ever so cheesy yet addicting BD now. Good night!

08-08-08

Today is supposed to be a lucky day for all since 08-08-08 only happens once in a hundred years. And I guess it is, at least for me! I arrived at my Philo class at 7:20 am. Normally, I would arrive 5 minutes after the bell. Moreso, I do not make it into the 10 minute cut-off for absence. And there. Today is also my first long test for Histo. And shit, it was too hard! I thought studying the notes would be enough to get through the test but the readings would have been really helpful! Lol.

Ateneo's advocacy to "Go Green" takes full effect today as the cafeteria bans the use of styrofoam and plastic materials. Eia and I went to buy drinks, which the cafeteria people put in washable glasses! Haha. Talk about Choco Boom Ba. After my Theo class, I went with Eia to Experts to enroll her brother for the entrance exam review for High School. We then ate at Sizzlin' Pepper Steak! The food was great! I was too full. When we were on our way to her car, we talked about this particular coffee shop in Banaue that I used to go to when I was a kid. And she knows the coffee shop that I was talking about! Promise. It serves the best pandesal with corned beef! I love corned beef! Haha.

We went back to the campus and waited for 3:30 because we will be meeting Mikee Lee and Robi Domingo at the Mateo steps. They will help us in the promotion of our booth on Wednesday! Wish the "ECOw ang Lahat sa Akin" good luck! I'll tell you the details of this event maybe on my next post. So we met Mikee and Robi and had their picture taken for our tarp! I'm so excited with the competition. Haha. I'll be posting pics soon. :)

The fun did not stop there. We watched the Spellympics of Tugon! This is the most fun org event ever! Haha. SOSS group did not take the game seriously! Mr. Lozada, I was a Lasallian! Haha. Mr. Manaois, you are the best, as always! SOH people were very fun! Mr. Diccion made some gymnastics. Lol. My favorite Filipino teacher, Mr. Tenorio, is the champion! Woot woot! You are the best, sir!

Oh well. Beijing Olympics mode! Go team France! Bonne chance!!

Blessings

Oh yes. I am done with my Philosophy class' 12-hour requirement to work for a certain institution. I chose Blessings because I know where UP Shopping Center is. Besides, I want to try photocopying books and ring binding photocopied materials.
I actually worked for more than 13 hours, if you will count overtime. For 9 hours, I worked at different Photocopy shops such as Blessings, More Blessings and Jovits. I really had fun working with the Jovits people. I had a hard time working at More Blessings since the shop is too small and too hot (Oh yes, no aircon unit) and at Blessings since I have always been assigned to work on laminating IDs, which by the way, is not that easy. Me and other Ateneans had to laminate more than 300 IDs (this is an estimate) for Kythe, an organization in the Ateneo. I have been also assigned at Isko, a computer shop, for 4 hours. The work load is generally easy so no worries there.

I think I have to buy our required textbook for Stat. I should read the textbook and prepare for our next long test. As in really prepare. Haha. So, I'll go to Greenhills today to find one. My dad called and told me that there is no more stock left. Oh no. I only have two classes for today so I have nothing to do now. Well, not really since I still have to do a 1-page paper for Philo and study for my first Histo long test tomorrow. I'm still waiting for our driver to fetch me so he can take me to Greenhills. I have to check out the book by myself. If there is no copy left, I may resort to photocopying the whole book or just rely to the 1978 version I borrowed from the library. Tsk.

By the way, I went to Katipunan NBS yesterday and the staff told me that the hardbound copies of Breaking Dawn will not be available until further notice. She said that the store only received few copies but she will be notifying all the people who placed their reservations when the copy will be available. So there. Gtg!

Can You Resist Temptation?

Take a Bite Out of the Chocolate Bar! I want the Godiva Twilight Chocolate Bar! But if it is a collector's item, I should get two! Haha. $6 each! source

By the way, I have not started with Breaking Dawn yet. NBS Katipunan texted the people who made reservations that the hardbound copy will not yet be available. I do not want to buy paperbound since my three books from the Twilight series are all hardbound. I hope I can get a copy by next week! But seriously, I am not that excited to read the fourth installment. I do not know why. Haha.

Today is my last JEeP insertion. I will definitely miss photocopying books, counting pages, and ring binding photocopied materials! Haha. Gtg!

Scratch Stat

Hey guys! Welcome to my second blogspot! I made the lay-out but this is still not the final version yet. So there. The lines in the header are actually from Tree Hugger by Antsy Pants and if I am not mistaken, Kimya Dawson has her version too. Brushes were downloaded from Echoica and the font is from dafont.

Today is just a sad day for me. I forgot to study for our Theo quiz because I was too preoccupied with the Stat Midterms and the Philo paper. I studied hard for the Stat exam. Scratch that. Not really that hard but I guess hard enough. Haha. And guess what? I got 30/100. :( Thanks for comforting me, Trish and Ana. By the way, here is Ana's advice for me:

Ana: Isipin mo na lang, si Marc nga nagsummer.

Haha! You made me happy, biggest loser! Haha. Thanks! Thank you also to Marc Magaling for failing an accounting subject. You are such a good friend. I hope that you fail more subjects! Joke! :)

Only one class tom. Free cut for Stat, thank God.
